Biography: John is one of the country’s leading integrated creative directors. He joined Rapier after 10 years as a copywriter in ad agencies like Ogilvy and DMB&B. Under his direction the agency has helped transform results for brands like the AA, Yellow Pages and Virgin Media. He is responsible for most of the major work by the UK’s cable industry, from Telewest to the launch of Virgin Media, featuring Uma Thurman and Samuel L Jackson. His ability to create ‘joined up’ marketing campaigns for big, complex services has led to him being described as ‘unusually business-like for a Creative Director’, which he considers a great compliment.
